Hello, I’m Michaela!

Seeking support for yourself or your child can feel overwhelming, but you don’t have to navigate it alone. I am here to provide a compassionate and collaborative space where healing and growth can happen.

I specialize in working with children, adolescents, and young adults facing anxiety, OCD, and eating disorders. Many of my clients also experience co-occurring ADHD or emotional regulation challenges, and I use behavioral interventions to help them build practical skills to support these concerns. I also provide parent-based interventions for childhood anxiety disorders, equipping caregivers with strategies to support their child’s progress and confidence at home.

My approach is rooted in evidence-based treatments, ensuring that the strategies we use are both effective and tailored to your unique needs. I co-founded of The Bellevue Center for CBT & DBT, a clinic focused on providing highly effective treatments for anxiety, OCD, depression, and emotional dysregulation. Through this work, I have seen firsthand how powerful the right support can be in helping individuals and families regain confidence and feel more in control of their lives.

If you or your child are struggling with worries, compulsions, or emotional challenges, I am here to help. Together, we will work toward meaningful change in a way that feels supportive, empowering, and hopeful.

My Therapeutic Approach

I enjoy working with people ranging in age from elementary school through young adulthood and specialize in treating individuals who struggle with anxiety disorders and OCD. I believe it is incredibly important to involve parents in the therapeutic process—both to learn from their insights into their child’s behaviors and to teach helpful tools to ensure their child maintains their progress inside and outside of our sessions. At the center of my work as a clinician is an emphasis on the human-to-human connection, which is maintained through authenticity, empathy, and humor.

It is within my values as a clinician to strive to provide culturally competent care. I encourage clients to share as much or as little about their racial, cultural, sexual, or gender identities. I utilize an anti-racist and intersectional feminist lens to validate the experiences my clients face within the world, as well as to help guide them towards value-based coping strategies.
